PSYCROPTIC: 'Writing For New Album Is Progressing Very Well'

November 16, 2007

Australian technical death metallers PSYCROPTIC have issued the following update:

"Thus far the writing for the new album is progressing very well. Six songs have been completed, with several more in the works. It is hoped the recording will take place in February/March 2008. The band are very happy with the results thus far, and it will be the best album to date, without doubt!

"Both Dave [Haley; drums] and Joe [Haley; guitar] are now teaching. Dave is teaching drums in the Melbourne region, and Joe guitar in the Hobart region. Email [email protected] or send us a MySpace message for more info."

PSYCROPTIC's third full-length album, "Symbols of Failure", was released in February 2006 via Neurotic Records. The follow-up of 2003's "The Scepter of the Ancients" marks the recording debut of the band's new vocalist Jason Peppiatt.

PSYCROPTIC's video for the song "Epoch of the Gods", which was filmed by Lowlife Media at the Paris show of the "No Mercy" tour (where PSYCROPTIC supported CANNIBAL CORPSE, KATAKLYSM, LEGION OF THE DAMNED and GRIMFIST),can be viewed below.
